I was growing tired of my old color word poem charts in my classroom and decided to make new ones. I thought I would share. Enjoy! They are a FREEBIE!

Color Poems
Every year, at the beginning of Kindergarten we begin learning the color words. If you are like me you own the color word CDs and sing them over and over until you can't stop. Then you sing them at home, in the shower, in your head all the time! The good news is: They work! Kids learn how to spell their color words very easily when they learn it in song. (Funny, that actually works for almost anything.)

ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! I'm going to start using these with my preschool class this fall. Also, thank you for adding the gray!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind sharing the font used? We love your poems, but need to change some of the wording as our school does not allow anything holiday themed.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask you a favor? We love these songs and use them all, but our GRAY song is to the melody "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" so that it's different from blue. It says "G-R-A-Y that spells gray. I can spell it everyday. Gray is a kitten and a mouse at play. Gray is an elephant, see him sway. G-R-A-Y that spells gray. I can spell it everyday." Or if you can send me an editable document for your gray, I can change it myself. Thanks for making these, I love them in my classroom.
ReplyDeletedigging these, thanks
