Donors Choose

I am a Donors Choose Teacher! Donors Choose is a website that allows teachers to put up projects for funding. They allow the community to help schools in need, which is so rewarding for the donor, the teacher, and the students. Every donor becomes part of a project and when the project is fully funded the class gets their delivery and the donors get a whole lot of thank you cards!

My current project right now is Books That Look Like Us! I am asking for donations to build up my library os multicultural books. The students I teach are blessed to come from all over the world and I want to give them a school experience that they can relate to. By donating to our project I will be able to put books on bookshelves with faces and stories that my students can relate to.

Did you know that books with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) are being published LESS than they were in the 1990s? Why? We need to celebrate all cultures in my classroom and I looking for donors to help us do that!
