Hi everyone,
I am trying to finally catch up on all of my TpT questions and requests. I apologize for my serious lack of timeliness. The end of the year just got away from me. One of the requests I had was to put an editable version of my Sight Word Stamp It! page. So, here it is!
To edit this page you will need to download the tracing font onto your computer. The font is
Download this font and then open the file. There will be an install button at the top left. Install this BEFORE you open the stamp it page file. Once it is installed you should have no problem editing the words so that they match what you are working on. Hope this helps!

Primer Sight Word Readers
Finally, this little baby is ready! I have been working on my Primer Readers since Christmas. Yes, I'm slow. But, they were done in time for my Kinders this year. We have moved on from the Pre-Primer First 40 Words. Now, it is on to Primer. I am so amazed at how well my Kinders are reading. And I know that the reason they are reading is because they have a combination of sight word recognition instruction, phonics instruction, phonemic awareness instruction, and actual time to READ!
My goal is to have my Kinders not just reading by the end of the year, but for them to BELIEVE they are readers.
As you know, the growth mindset of a child is the most important thing you can teach. Be that to your students, your own children, and yourself. If they don't believe they can, then they wont.
I start off the year with telling them that in Kindergarten we don't say, "I cant." It's a bad word in my class. "Gimme" is also a bad word, but that's another story.
What I thinks makes students believe they can read is when they see that they are reading, over and over, every day. I just finished my Primer Readers and I hope you can check them out and get your students reading. They are great for Kinders and 1st grade. My school uses them as intervention stories in a separate program for struggling students. Here is a little preview:
These books are great for Guided Reading, tracking, sight words (obviously), and partner reads. I use one story every week. We read it in the class and the next week it goes home for homework.
My Kinders are reading, and I am so proud of them!

Literacy Centers Week 1
For this center students had an ABC chart and ABC beads. I chose to give them only capital letter beads because our goal is to be able to name all of the capital letters by the end of September. The chart can be used for just about anything, including dry erase writing. Just print it out on paper and stick it in a sheet protector. Easy enough. My students really enjoyed this center and were even upset if they didn't have enough time to finish their chart. Grab the chart here.
Dry Erase Letter Trace
These are tracing sheet from the Moffatt Girls. I put these in sheet protectors and ringed 3 sheets together so that students could go on to another page when they were done.
Clothespin Capital and Lowercase Match
I found these cute ABC matching cards on Pinterest for free from teaching Mama. You can see them on Pinterest here.
ABC Lacing Cards
My class this year really needs a lot of extra support in fine motor skills. I am using lacing cards to build up those fine motor skills. This is a cute set by Melissa and Doug that I found on a camping trip by Hearst Castle. The kids like it, and the cards are made of strong wood so they wont rip or bend.
Pencil Boxes
You are probably seeing my students' pencil boxes in these photos. Their pencil boxes have their name-tag on it and their group picture. This month (September) we are apple groups. I have four groups (red, yellow, green and blue apples.......yes, blue apples.....no one said it had to be real). My students carry their pencil boxes around the room so that they always have what they need. Their pencil boxes have lids that close. And they always remember what group they are in by looking at their picture. Each month I change the theme. October will be nocturnal animals.
